The families of many of these children can only send their hopes and blessings since they cannot afford to provide basic school supplies. Imagine the shame of a child that arrives on the first day of school without a bag, writing utensils or notebooks. How can we expect this child to succeed?

 

There are over 48,000 children living in Netanya and over 10,000 of them are recognized by the Welfare Department as children in need. Immigrants from Ethiopia and the former Soviet Union make up a third of this group.
